The village used to have 3 arches which welcomed visitors on each of the three entrances to the village. Following an incident the one on Steamers Hill was damaged beyond repair, there will be more information about what we did with it later, but two still remain. Both are extremely heavy and we are always grateful for any help we can get to put them in place.
One is sited on a bank on Grist Lane, opposite Number 11
The other is on the bend on Hatch’s Hill
